Sound Technician

Time Committment: 6 hours, 1-3 times per month

GENERAL FUNCTION
To support the Fusion Café by learning mixing techniques from experienced sound technicians, as well as providing equipment check-ups that help maintain and sustain equipment used for Fusion Café performances. On show nights, you’ll be in charge on running sound equipment including PA system, mixing board, compressors, and mics.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
1. Perform equipment maintenance check-ups on a bi-monthly basis
2. Handle sound setup for shows including micing vocals and instruments, handling performers equipment requests, and overseeing equipment throughout entire show.

QUALIFICATIONS
Interest in sound technology and equipment use

Other positions available:

Street Team Personnel

3 to 5 hours per week. Have fun promoting bands, concerts, and record labels by passing out handbills, putting up fliers, sending out emails, and talking to friends.

Event Operation Personnel

3 to 5 hours per show. Have fun learning how to operate a music event. Tasks include: cleaning, security, set up, tear down, running door, and concessions.
